Development Process

For a custom web development or open source installation/customization, I generally follow the following the same process.

Although I list some prices on this site as to what you may expect, I quote a firm price for each project before I begin. If your plan is not "The HandsomeWeb," I will write a custom web development proposal for your project A typical design process follows a scenario similar to the one below:

  • I learn about you. Phone or in person discussions of your needs, expectations for the sites functionality and design allow me to give to you a firm strategy for meeting your priorities and a firm price.

  • I gather information. You supply text, photos, images, graphics, site-maps, URLs of sites you like. I take these and build a mock-up of the design.
  • You suggest changes and approve our design. I make changes until you are satisfied with the look of the site.
  • I complete the content.
  • We discuss final changes. After you see your site completed, you'll remember some things to include or the design will help you think of more ideas to add. This no problem, I plan for this and make your changes.
  • The site goes live.
