About HandsomeWeb
On June 2, 2009, HandsomeWeb will celebrate 10 years of business!
HandsomeWeb is a family owned and operated business that was founded with the goal of providing an affordable solution to businesses and organizations hoping to establish a web presence. Although our services have grown to include database development and integration, search engine optimization services, eCommerce payment gateway integrations, and website hosting, we have not abandoned our goal of providing an affordable web presence solution.
Affordable Web Design Business
We have managed to keep the cost of our services low by eliminating most overhead and by contracting with top-notch service providers. Our long-standing relationships have enabled HandsomeWeb's growth into the full-service hosting industry in addition to the professional web development business. We are dedicated to maintaining relationships and a reputation of quality. We are confident that you will be pleased with HandsomeWeb, whether you are a web design package costumer, a development project customer, or a web hosting customer.
Chris Wood
Chris Wood began developing web pages in 1997 in his administration job at a college in Pennsylvania. In 1999 he moved to Arlington, Texas and began doing free lance work for small businesses. His wife, Kim, and daughter, Sarah, have joined the HandsomeWeb team as the business has grown over the past eight years. HandsomeWeb is a family business that believes taking care of our clients is priority number one.
Our primary development environment includes Apache Web Servers, Linux, PHP, and MySQL datbases where we build our sites to validated code standards (XHTML 1.0 and CSS2) as defined by the W3. We have also used Microsoft Internet Information Server, ASP Classic, ASP.NET, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML 4.1, PERL, MySQL, MSAccess, Microsoft SQL Server, Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Fireworks, Secure Socket Layer Installations, Zoomla, Miva Merchant, Zen Cart, WordPress, Drupal, many Open Source Development Tools, and more.
We are the sole development team on the open-source project, SOS Webpages.
